Women Empowerment
Many women are dependent on their husbands for an income. By educating women in how to start and run a small-scale business, we can empower them to have their own income and on the same time create a more equal society.
Small-scale businesses is one of our focus areas. Women receive education in how to start and conduct a small-scale business through self-help activities. Women who earn their own income are more likely to spend it on food and education for their children. This results in, more children attending and completing primary school, and having greater opportunities to continue their studies and get a good job. This contributes to increased gender equality and to women empowerment.
